voicemail horrors

Have you ever experience a bad voicemail from a company? Did you get frustrated, angry, upset, etc. to say the least? Did it lead up to you hanging up?

Could it be intentional, is it possible that businesses do not really want to service your complaints? Think about how much businesses save by not issuing credits or refunds because the customer gave up in their voicemail system. Often it is "time" that is the most critical factor, being placed on “hold” for five, ten or fifteen minutes if not longer.

The company do not know and may not care how you feel. Have you experienced voicemail horrors that wrecked your day?  Well, it’s time to change perceptions while at the same time, take on a new strategy for dealing with automated voicemail systems.

Grab your cell phone or mobile device, find something that interest you and begin using that interest to kill-time until taken off hold. Consider placing the voicemail music on your speaker while entertaining yourself with something of interest; this will help time go by quicker than you realize. If you experienced anything like I have experienced, sometimes these voicemails don’t give you the options of your choice. Press any button until you get a live person, if possible.

Remember it's possible that the company on the other end, will be glad you’ve given up so that they just might have the opportunity to keep your money. This happens whether it’s regarding a bill or possible return/credit on something you purchased too often to people.
